		<description>We are experiencing the same squash bug phenomenon.  I&#039;ve only seen two. I dusted the bases of the squash plants with a little Bt, and those little stinkers disappeared.  Unfortunately, some worms did too much damage to the cabbage plants before I could get Bt delivered.  

Japanese beetles are everywhere.  I&#039;ve never seen them like this.  A pair of leather gloves is handy for pinching them.  I wonder if the chickens would eat them. 

Also, your garden looks great!
